Cowboys Workout Seven Free Agents

The Cowboys welcomed seven players to Valley Ranch on Wednesday for private workouts.

The following free agents were in Valley Ranch on Wednesday to work out for the Dallas Cowboys:

S Curtis Fuller (5-10, 195) - This former TCU star went to training camp with the Packers last year before getting released before the start of the regular season. He was picked up by the Panthers for the last nine weeks of the season, but has only recorded six tackles in very limited playing time over the last two years.

S Clint Finley (6-0, 210) - Orginally out of Nebraska, Finley has played in just four games during his NFL career. His first and last recorded tackle came in 2002 and the former Cornhusker spent the entire year out of football in 2004.

RB Ricky Williams (5-7, 195) - Former Texas Tech star had 59 career carries for 190 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons (2002-03) with the Colts. As a senior with the Red Raiders, Williams rushed 142 times for 757 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also a threat out of the backfield, catching 92 passes for 617 yards and four more scores. Williams is also a native of the Dallas area, and lists his hometown as Duncanville, TX.

RB Dwight McKissic (6-0, 220) - Former Arkansas-Pine Bluff standout that was named as to the All-SWAC First team as a junior when he rushed 124 times for 1290 yards. Had one game against Kentucky State where he rushed 34 times for 290 yards and four touchdowns.

FB George Layne (5-11, 250) - Former TCU star who has four years of limited experience in the NFL. Last signed by the Atlanta Falcons in December 2004. Also spent time with the Chargers last season. Has just three career rushes for 32 yards but is a powerful blocker as a fullback.

WR Tim Van Zant (6-1, 190) - Former Texas A&M receiver that was orginally an undrafted free agent who spent training camp with the Lions before being released on August 31. Was re-signed with the Lions practice squad in November 2004. Started five of 24 games that he appeared in at Texas A&M, bringing in 36 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns in his career.

OG Michael Keathley (6-4, 298) - Orginally out of TCU, Keathley has spent time with the Bears, Texans, and Chargers. Has four career starts, all with the Chargers between 2002 and 2003. Most recently, Keathley signed with the Bears in March 2004, before being released at the end of training camp.
