Looking for a little insurance at safety, the Dallas Cowboys signed S Clint Finley Wednesday after his workout at Valley Ranch.

Orginally out of Nebraska, Finley has played in four games during his brief NFL career. His first and last recorded tackle came in 2002 and the former Cornhusker spent the entire year out of football in 2004.

Finley has good size at 6-0, 210 pounds, but has limited experience in the National Football League.

The Cowboys also worked out six other players Wednesday at Valley Ranch, however none have yet to be offered a contract.

Former Texas Tech star running back Ricky Williams was one of the bigger names on hand, but he is considered too small to serve as a back up for Julius Jones.

The Cowboys are likely not done acquiring help at safety this offseason, as the team will look in the draft at several available candidates in the first and second round.

Oklahoma's Brodney Poole and Nebraska's Josh Bullocks are two prospects the Cowboys have showed interest in.
