Cowboys Workout Sleeper Prospect

TheRanchReport has confirmed that the Cowboys worked out this sleeper LB prospect this week.

According to several sources, the Dallas Cowboys privately worked out Albany linebacker Kurt Campbell earlier this week.

Campbell, who is viewed as a safety prospect by most scouts, stands in at 6-feet-1 inch tall, and weighs 220 pounds.

In his senior year at Albany, Campbell recorded 34 total tackles, including 2.5 for loss and three passes broken up.

For his efforts, he was selected to play in the Las Vegas All-American Classic, an all-star game for graduating seniors.

Campbell finished his collegiate career with 120 tackles and 19 pass break-ups.

Campbell saw extensive time in the secondary as a cornerback early in his career before switching over to "roverback" as a junior.

Interestingly enough, the Cowboys appear to be looking at several draft prospects that could play either outside linebacker or safety. Clemson's Leroy Hill is another candidate that Dallas has shown significant interest in. is expected to have more information on Hill, during the coming days.
