Greathouse will compete with Mat McBriar for the starting punter position.

McBriar won the starting punter position during training camp and punted 75 times for an average of 42.4 yards per kick during the 2004 season.

Overall, he finished seventh in the NFC and 14th in the NFL. He also recorded 22 punts downed inside the opponents 20-yard line. Greathouse, a former Texas Tech Red Raider, originally signed with Baltimore as a rookie free agent in 2004, however he was released prior to the start of the season.

In three seasons in Lubbock, TX, he averaged 39.7 yards per kick.

Greathouse also spent time last season in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders.
