Roger Cooper School: Montana State
Ht: 6-2.5 Wt: 239 40: 4.77 Year: 5Sr
Bio: Four year starter and All-Conference
selection as a junior and senior. Posted 68/14/4
last season. Used as a rush linebacker out of a
three point stance.
Positives: Athletic prospect with
good size/speed numbers for the next level.
Displays good first step quickness, chases hard
to get involved in the action and displays a solid
head for the ball. Takes good angles to the play,
moves well in all directions and immediately
alters his angle of attack or redirects to the ball
carrier. Quick locating the ball in pass coverage
and shows ability playing in space dropped off
the line of scrimmage.
Negatives: Not efficient, lacks
control and takes a lot of missteps. Gets caught
up in the wash moving laterally and not an
explosive defender that flashes on the scene.
Must develop more moves to protect himself
and slow shedding blocks.
both athleticism and football intelligence, Cooper
is a hard working prospect with good upside for
the next level. Needs repetition playing off the
line of scrimmage and must handle a step up
in competition yet offers upside potential as a
strong side linebacker.
