Four Players Released Tuesday

The Dallas Cowboys released four players on Tuesday, moving their official roster to 92 players.

The Dallas Cowboys released four players on Tuesday, including RB ReShard Lee, DE Tron LaFavor, TE Landon Trusty and safety Steve Cargile.

LaFavor, Trusty, and Cargile were all practice squad players last year, while Lee was a reserve running back that also specialized in returning kickoffs.

Lee's departure was expected considering the Cowboys have acquired two new running backs within the last 10 days. Dallas signed veteran free agent Anthony Thomas on Monday and picked up Marion Barber III out of Minnesota during the NFL Draft two weekends ago.

After these cuts, the Cowboys now have 92 players on their official roster. That number must be reduced to 82 before the start of training camp, and then to 53 for the regular season.

Dallas also has two free agents that have yet to re-sign in QB Tony Romo (exclusive rights) and OL Kurt Vollers (restricted). Both players are expected to sign before the team's mini-camp on May 26.
