Sure the Cowboys signed Izell Reese in June to compete with Keith Davis and Lynn Scott at free safety but they might not be done upgrading the position.
The team worked out former Seahawks safety Damien Robinson for the second time this offseason last Thurday.
They have yet to sign him to a contract but clearly they remain interested in the eight-year veteran, who also happens to be a Dallas native. Robinson attended Hillcrest High School before going to college at Iowa.
The Cowboys initially worked Robinson out in May but he wasn't in good shape. They let him get in better shape and took a look at him again.
The situation is now in the hands of Robinson's agent James Gould and the Cowboys.
TheRanchReport.com has learned the Cowboys will likely play the waiting game because other teams aren't beating the door down to get Robinson under contract.
They could either add Robinson to the mix before training camp starts July 28 or bring him in if Reese, Davis or Scott don't pan out in the preseason.
