Burnett Reports for Camp

TheRanchReport.com first reports second-round draft pick Kevin Burnett will report to camp Saturday.

TheRanchReport.com first reports that second-round draft pick Kevin Burnett will report for training camp, on time, Saturday morning.

Terms of Burnett's contract are not yet known, but Burnett will be practicing with the team Saturday morning, according to multiple sources.

First round picks Demarcus Ware and Macus Spears are the only two draft picks who have yet to officially report to camp.

Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said Friday not having second-round pick Kevin Burnett signed could be detrimental to his development this year.

"I don't think it's an advantage for players to miss (the start of training camp)," Parcells said.

"In one case, the guy has already missed mini-camp and has no basic background in our scheme. To me, that sort of puts that player in a hole should he not be here for the intial phases of camp. That means that the two initial phases of instruction, he's missed both of them."

Burnett missed the Cowboys' May mini-camp after having hip surgery earlier in the month. He is expected to be full strength for the start of camp, but has yet to come to terms with the team.
