Spears, the Cowboys No. 20 overall pick in this year's draft, was one of two first round picks that came to terms on Saturday. Fellow first rounder, OLB Demarcus Ware, also signed a five-year deal with the Cowboys.
Ware, the Cowboys No. 11 overall selection, signed a five-year deal worth a reported $13 million.
Both players are expected to make an immediate impact for the Cowboys' defense this season. Spears will likely start at defensive end while Ware could get the nod as a starting outside linebacker in the Cowboys' new 3-4 defense.
