Cowboys' linebacker Dat Nguyen agreed to a six year contract worth $13 million today. With his signing, Dallas now has four unrestricted free agents left.

Dat Nguyen agreed to a six year deal with the Dallas Cowboys today. The contract is worth $13 million today.

"I'm excited because Dat brings an awful lot to the table from a competitive standpoint," Cowboys coach Dave Campo said.

Nguyen will receive a $2 million signing bonus and that will count $1.3 million against the salary cap this season. The final year of the deal, in 2007, he'll count $3.3 million.

The Cowboys also signed defensive tackle Brandon Noble to a $1.2 million qualifying offer. There are four remaining restricted free agents still left unsigned: TE Mike Lucky, WR Darrin Chiaverini, CB Duane Hawthorne, and C Ben Fricke.

All four players are expected to sign before the end of the month.

Nguyen, was a third round draft pick back in 1999 out of Texas A&M University. "When I came out of college, I was a question mark," Nguyen said. "They took a gamble on me. Now I want to be a part of something special here." He started all 16 games at middle linebacker for the Cowboys and registered 113 tackles and one forced fumble.

For his career, Dat has 204 tackles, one sack, three interceptions and seven passes defended through three seasons.
