Looking for additional help at linebacker, the Dallas Cowboys signed former Giants' and Redskins' linebacker Michael Barrow Sunday.
Barrow, who has not played in the NFL in two seasons, worked out for the team Friday.
After signing a six-year, $13-million deal last year with the Washington Redskins after the 2003 season, Barrow was cut after suffering a knee injury and also for salary cap purposes.
He never played a down in Washington.
Barrow was originally a second-round pick of the Houston Oilers in 1993. He then joined the Carolina Panthers in 1997 before landing with the New York Giants in 2000.
For his career, Barrow has 1,245 tackles, to go along with 43 sacks and 23 forced fumbles in over 150 starts.
