With the news that wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has been released by the Dallas Cowboys, don't be surprised to see the 10-year veteran contact the Philadelphia Eagles to gauge their interest in his services.
Why would he do this? Keyshawn clearly understands that he could sign somewhere else for more money, but he wants to win as he enters the final part of his career.
In losing Terrell Owens, Philadelphia has the need for a big, possession receiver with considerable NFL experience. Johnson fits the bill physically and would also be a good fit with young receivers Reggie Brown and Greg Lewis.
Last year, the 33-year old Johnson caught 71 passes for 839 yards and six touchdowns.
Johnson was released Tuesday by the Cowboys, only minutes before he was due a $1 million roster bonus.
Where Will Keyshawn End Up?
