Marcus King Profile

The Dallas Cowboys have come to terms with former Missouri cornerback Marcus King, TheRanchReport.com has learned.

King will report to Valley Ranch later this week for the Cowboys annual rookie mini-camp.

Full Name: Marcus King School: Missouri Pos: CB

Ht: 5-9 Wt: 199 40: 4.57 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Three-year starter experienced at safety and cornerback. Senior totals included 50/3/13 after 33/7/2 as a junior.

Pos: Naturally gifted athlete with solid size/speed numbers. Fluid flipping his hips, plays to his timed speed and easily runs downfield with opponents. Effective facing the quarterback and displays solid hands for the interception.

Neg: Prefers to side-shuffle, gives up a lot of underneath receptions and lacks a sense of timing. Late reacting to receivers' moves, loses assignments and is usually a half-step behind opponents.

Analysis: Relying on natural skills, King lacks football instincts and has not progressed the way scouts expected. Must show a willingness to dedicate himself to the details of his game.
