WR Deveren Johnson Signs

WR Deveren Johnson became the first draft pick to sign this afternoon. Johnson will receive a $43,000 signing bonus with a base salary of $225,000 for his first year in the National Football League.

The sixth round draft pick out of Sacred Heart will now have his work cut out for him to make the team.

Johnson broke his pinkie finger on this right hand during one of the quarterback schools last month, which means he could miss the first part of training camp this weekend.

And as far as the big picture goest, that's one down, and eight to go before the start of training camp this weekend. Details posted on Johnson's contract, as well as any other signings will be posted as we receive more information throughout the day.
