Cowboys Avoid Holdouts

On the eve of the first day of training camp, it has been learned that all 4 of the remaining draft picks will be ready to report to camp Saturday morning. Roy Williams has now officially signed on the dotted line, leaving little doubt that the other 3 players will soon follow.

The Cowboys are expected to announce shortly that there will be no holdouts during training camp this year.

Roy Williams has already offically signed a contract, and the other three players- Derek Ross, Andre Gurode, and Antonio Bryant are expected to finish their deals later this evening.

The Cowboys gave Williams a seven-year deal, which can be voided after the sixth season. His contract is right under $20 million, including a $7.8 million signing bonus, which will be split into two years.

"We wanted to start off training camp on a positive note," said Jerry Jones. "And we feel like we did that with this annoucement."

"We were able to get all the deals done in the way we wanted to and that was important," said Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones. "We still have some flexibility now during camp if we want to go out and get something else done."
