Owens returned for the second practice Tuesday, which was his first workout with the Cowboys since training camp back on Aug. 19 in Oxnard, Calif.
Including Tuesday's two practices, Owens has missed 21 of 33 practice sessions so far this preseason/training camp.
The Cowboys play their final preseason game Thursday against Minnesota. It is unclear whether or not Owens will play, although it appears highly unlikely considering the nature of his hamstring injury.
Owens and head coach Bill Parcells were not made available to the media following the practice session.
