Reserve cornerback Nate Jones, a restricted free agent, signed his tender today and will remain with the Dallas Cowboys, TheRanchReport.com has learned.
Jones was inactive the first 12 weeks of the 2006 season but appeared in the final four games of the regular season, recording eight total tackles.
in 2005 Jones saw action in all 16 games for Dallas, primarily on special teams where he finished second on the team with 12 special teams tackles.
The Cowboys like his versatility at safety, cornerback and special teams- where he has served as a back-up kick returner.
Jones was originally selected in the seventh round (205th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Rutgers.
