'Boys Sign Sleeper RB

TheRanchReport.com brings you the latest on another undrafted free agent signed by the Cowboys.

SCOUT.COM DRAFT RANKING: No. 19 (Running back)

BIO: All-Conference selection the past four years and MEAC Player of Year in ‘05. Senior totals included 158/1,052/12 on the ground. Career-best rushing numbers of 204/1,326/19 came as a junior.

POSITIVE: Elusive ball carrier with excellent open-field running skills. Runs low to the ground, quickly gets through the cutback lanes and possesses a burst of speed. Follows blocks and is a slippery runner who bounces around piles or makes defenders miss. Finds his way through the small creases of the defense. Has the speed to turn the corner.

NEGATIVE: Easily knocked off balance by the first hit or brought to the ground at the initial point of contact. Puts up impressive numbers in the weight room, yet does not translate that strength onto the football field. Marginally proficient catching the ball.

FINAL ANALYSIS: Productive as a ball carrier all four years in college, Coleman has an outside chance to make it as change of pace/third-down running back.
