'Boys Sign Big 12 Linebacker

The Dallas Cowboys continue to be active with undrafted free agents.

The Dallas Cowboys have come to terms with former Missouri linebacker Dedrick Harrington (6-4, 240), TheRanchReport.com has learned.

SCOUTING REPORT: Dedrick Harrington
BIO: Four-year starter who received All-Conference mention as a senior. Numbers last season were 95/8/3.5 after a junior campaign of 73/12.5/3.

POS: Productive run-defending two-down linebacker. Scrapes well in the box, takes good angles to the play and wraps up tackling. Fires up the field filling gaps and makes most of his plays going downhill.

NEGATIVE: Slow shedding blocks and gets caught up in the trash moving laterally. Marginal skills in coverage. Does not play with a sense of urgency.

FINAL ANALYSIS: A productive linebacker in college, Harrington possesses the size/speed numbers to see action at the next level. Must really improve the details of his game and pick up the intensity before any of that will happen.
