Romo Postgame Q&A

"You don't play this game for the money, you don't do that. You just go out there and play it for the love of it, and you win," Romo said.

Two really strong games after signing the new contract, does it give you any peace of mind?
No. The contract is nice and all, but I feel like I play the game the exact same way before and after. That's probably why I wanted to get most of the work done during the bye week, just to show people not to talk about it and not to deal with it. You don't play this game for the money, you don't do that. You just go out there and play it for the love of it, and you win. That's what we're doing right now and it's fun.

Your coach just called the offense a great offense, do you agree with that? Are you ready to say that?
I think we're doing some pretty good things. I haven't been in the league as long as he has, so I wouldn't know what a good offense is. I just know that we're putting some points up at times, that helps.

How important is a win like this, confidence wise?
It's just another step along the journey that we're trying to go through here, to get to where we want to go. I think a win like tonight just adds to your confidence. Say once in a while, if you do something like this, you have a chance to do something special.

How important was it to get other guys involved?
I don't think about getting anyone involved. I just think about hitting the guy who's open. That defense is pretty good and that d-line is outstanding. I'm not worried about trying to get someone the ball or anything like that.

Talk about going to Crayton and the other guys at the beginning of the game, did that open Owens up?
I think we got into a rhythm and were able to do a lot of different things. I think early it was just a matter of trying to figure out what they ran. They ran some exotic blitzes and I think their d-coordinator did a great job preparing for this game. I think they are a really good football team and that's a big win for us.
