Dallas Agrees with Sleeper TE

TheRanchReport.com first reports on another undrafted free agent signing made by the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with undrafted free agent tight end Drew Atchison (6-5, 246), TheRanchReport.com has learned.

The former William & Mary standout ended 2007 third on his team in receptions (34) and his 475 receiving yards was the team's second-highest total, while his six TD receptions was the tops on the squad.

His six touchdown receptions also tied him for the top figure among CAA Football tight ends, while his average of 13.97 yds/catch was also the top figure among league tight ends.

Atchison played in five games with the first team as a junior and totaled 12 catches for 183 yards and two more scores.

He comes in as the No. 67 tight end available in the 2008 NFL Draft in TheRanchReport.com's latest draft rankings.

Atchison, who is viewed as more of a pass-catcher than a blocker, also runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.

The former standout for the Tribe is the fourth known undrafted free agent to agree to terms with the Cowboys since the conclusion of the draft.
