Talking "D" with Pacman

IRVING, Tex. - Cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones took on a number of subjects Wednesday at Valley Ranch, ranging from the antics promised by Chad Johnson to the Dallas secondary's inability to make interceptions through four games to his friendship with former West Virginia teammate Chris Henry, who has returned to the field for the Bengals after sitting out his NFL suspension.

What do you say to Chad Johnson, who … said you're "going to get it"?
A: Me and Chad are good friends – we always talk trash. But I'll be ready and prepared to do my job.

He talked about scoring a touchdown and kissing the star (on the Texas Stadium turf).
A: I ain't got nothing to do with that. But I don't think he'll get in (the end zone). If we do our job, he won't get in the end zone. As long as we get some pressure up front, I think we'll be alright.

Do you like it when players talk like he talks?
A: Oh yeah. You know, Chad ain't trying to do nothing but sell headlines, but it is what it is, and when Sunday gets here, I'll be ready.

Have you "had any fun" back with him?
A: Nah, I ain't got nothing to say. I just go out and compete every Sunday.

When a guy like that, who you know is as good as he is, has struggled for the first four weeks of the season, do you expect, at some point, he's got to go off?
A: Yeah, but not against us. I expect him to have the same horrible game he had the first four weeks. He really hasn't done nothing so far, so hopefully we can keep it like that.

There are two Pro Bowl receivers (Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh) you have to deal with this weekend – talk about the challenges of facing two guys like that.
A: Chad is more of a speedy guy, and "Hoosh" is a possession receiver. We've really got to do our job. It's never about the Cincinnati Bengals – it's always about the Cowboys. We'll be prepared to win the game.

With all the talent you have in the secondary, why haven't you guys been able to get any picks yet this year?
A: That's a good question. I've gotten my hands on the ball a couple of times – I actually dropped one pick. I don't know – we've got to get around the ball a little bit more.

How important is it to come out and show domination against this team, since (the Bengals are) 0-4?
A: We've just got to come out and do what we do best, and that's put pressure on the quarterback, and then handle our stuff at the back end. If we do that, we'll be alright. I don't think we should let them linger around, because they've got a good team. If we let them linger around, there's a possibility they can win the game.

Do you keep up with (Cincinnati wide receiver) Chris Henry?
A: Oh yeah – that's my boy. I've talked to Chris several times. I know he's happy to be back on the field (after sitting out his NFL-mandated suspension). He was kind of down, and I told him to keep his head up. Me and Chris have been talking since I was suspended and had to sit out a whole year. Me and Chris are best of friends. He made some bad decisions and had to deal with the consequences, like I did. He took all the responsibility, and how he's ready to play.
