9 Questions for 2009: #5

This may not be the most important question needing answering entering the 2009 season, but it's worth discussing none the less, especially after the departure of T.O.

#5. Is Martellus Bennett ready to be a playmaker?
This may not be the most important question needing answering entering the 2009 season, but it's worth discussing none the less, especially after the departure of T.O.

After all, Owens' production has to be replaced somewhere, right?

Of course the Cowboys already have one of the most productive tight ends in NFL history in Jason Witten, but some close to the organization are suggesting Bennett has the ability to just as good as his Pro Bowl counterpart if he's willing to put the work in to get there.

And therein lies the key- does he have the work ethic needed to take his game to the next level?

As a rookie Bennett posted a respectable 20 receptions for 283 yards and four touchdowns and even bigger things are expected him of him entering the 2009 season.

As an athletic tight end with incredible size, the sky is the limit, but Bennett must dedicate himself in practice to make sure he achieves all he's capable of. With any luck, he just may be able to double his numbers from a year ago and the Cowboys offense would be that much better because of it.
