The Dolphins left Cincinnati with yet another road victory, and even though the game was no work of art, there were several players who stood out. Kicker Dan Carpenter would be the obvious first one to mention after he made five field goals, including a new career long of 54 yards right before halftime. But there were other standouts, including some who might surprise you.
-- Patrick Cobbs
deserves kudos for doing a great job of running up to field short kickoffs. He also had a nice tackle on a Cincinnati kickoff return. The only blemish on his afternoon was a dropped pass along the sideline.
-- John Denney won't get any mention because he's supposed to deliver a perfect snap every time, but the guy is just automatic.
-- Karlos Dansby didn't have any eye-opening plays, but once again he was all over the field. The numbers don't do justice to just how good a season he's having.
-- CB Benny Sapp ended up leading the team tackles and his perfectly timed blitz allowed him to drop Cedric Benson for a 7-yard loss.
-- CB Vontae Davis gave up a couple of completions on Cincinnati's first drive, but then he pretty much shut down Chad Ochocinco.
-- DE Kendall Langford didn't make many tackles, but he was stout at the point of attack.
