Ricky Williams and Jason Taylor, not surprisingly, were the big winners when the Dolphins announced their award winners for the 2002 season.

The two shared the team's MVP honors, now called the Dan Marino Award. That award is voted on by South Florida media.

In addition, Taylor was voted by his teammates as the winner of the Leadership Award, while linebacker Tommy Hendricks won the team's Community Service Award.

Finally, guard/tackle Mark Dixon was honored by the South Florida chapter of the Pro Football Writers Association as the winner of the "Good Guy Award" for his cooperation with the media.

In other Dolphins news:

-- The Dolphins wrapped up their third of four quarterback schools on Thursday with a softball game between the team's veteran players.

The highlight was Seth McKinney hitting a three-run home run with a drive to center field.

The lowlight was Terrell Buckley, a former baseball player no less, swinging and missing the 18-inch softball.

-- Wide receiver Oronde Gadsden still hasn't signed with anybody, but it's interesting to note that his locker and nameplate remain in place at Dolphins headquarters.
