Running back Ki-Jana Carter, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1995 draft, worked out for the Dolphins on July 24.

Carter, who has had a history of knee problems since entering the NFL, was administered a physical by the Dolphins. He hasn't played since being released by the Bengals prior to last season. "He's had some tough injuries, but anytime you get a guy with that type of ability, you owe it to yourself and the team to investigate and take a look," said Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt. "It would be ignorant to turn your back on something like that."
