The Dolphins began selling tickets on an individual-game basis this past weekend, and it shouldn't have come as a surprise that they did crisp business.

Three of the eight home games sold out on Saturday alone — Oct. 19 against New England, Dec. 15 against Philadelphia and the regular season finale Dec. 28 against the Jets.

All told, the Dolphins sold more than 14,000 individual game tickets that day, as well as 300 season tickets through Select-a-Seat, which also was held that day at Pro Player Stadium.

"We're extremely happy with our tickets sales for the first day," said Dolphins senior vice president-operations Bill Galante. "I believe the three sellouts are indicative of the demand that there will be for Dolphins tickets this year."
