FREE AGENCY RECAP

With the end of the signing period for unrestricted free agents having come and gone, here's a final look at what happened to the Dolphins' 18 unrestricted free agents.<p>

Of the group, only three were still looking for work at the end of July: wide receivers Lamar Thomas and Leslie Shepherd, and cornerback Jerry Wilson.

The Dolphins have re-signed seven of their 18 UFAs, including defensive end Jason Taylor, who was designated as the team's franchise player back in February. The other to re-sign with Miami were safety Brock Marion, kicker Olindo Mare, linebackers Derrick Rodgers and Twan Russell, quarterback Mike Quinn, and tight end Ed Perry.

That leaves nine players who have left the Dolphins for other teams. The list is as follows:

Defensive end Trace Armstrong signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Guard John Bock signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Guard Kevin Donnalley signed with the Carolina Panthers.

Wide receiver Bert Emanuel signed with the New England Patriots.

Linebacker Larry Izzo signed with the New England Patriots.

Defensive end Rich Owens signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cornerback Terrence Shaw signed with the New England Patriots.

Tackle Richmond Webb signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
