Former Buffalo Bills guard Jamie Nails was at Dolphins camp on Friday morning, working out for the Miami coaching staff.

Nails was an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he wasn't tendered by the Bills and that made it possible for him to negotiate with any team beyond the mid-July deadline for tendered UFAs.

Nails started at right guard last season for a Bills offensive line which had a difficult season.

If nothing else, Nails certainly would give the Dolphins a lot of size: he stands 6-6, 354 pounds.

The Dolphins also are looking for some experience along the offensive line because their current backups include only one player with any kind of NFL experience, that being guard Heath Irwin.

A fourth-round pick of the Bills out of Florida A&M in 1997, Nails started three games in both 1998 and 1999 before becoming a full-time starter last year.
