Linebacker Rick Crowell was the last of the Dolphins' nine draft picks last April, and now he has become the first to go.<P>Crowell, who was slowed this summer by a foot injury, was waived/injured on Monday.<P>

Crowell began training camp on the physically unable to perform list and was activated following the Hall of Fame Game. He did not play against Tampa Bay, but saw action last Saturday night against San Diego.

Crowell did not record a tackle against the Chargers.

HANSON SIGNS WITH JAGS: Punter Chris Hanson, who was waived by the Dolphins last week, has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

COLZIE DIES: Former NFL defensive back Neal Colzie, who played one season for the Dolphins, has died in Miami at the age of 48. Colzie tied for the team lead with five interceptions during his one year with the Dolphins.
