NFL Rookie Confessions: Dolphins Jay Ajayi

NFL.com released the rookie confessional of Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi. For a rookie, Jay Ajayi speaks like a seasoned veteran.

The Miami Dolphins may have gotten a steal of the draft when selecting running back Jay Ajayi out of Boise State in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Before the draft, Ajayi was projected as high as the second round on some draft boards, but fell due to a knee injury he suffered more than two years ago.

NFL.com has been releasing rookie confessionals, and released Ajayi’s yesterday. What surprised me most about the rookie is how well-spoken he is. He speaks and carries himself like a veteran. When faced with the question what do you like most about your new team? Ajayi listed Ryan Tannehill and the overall talent ‘across the board’ that the Dolphins have heading into the 2015 season.

More importantly, Ajayi believes that this team has what it takes to make it to the playoffs. It is refreshing to see some younger guys already having the talent and hunger to reach a goal that Miami hasn’t reached since 2008.

Ajayi didn’t stop there. His ultimate goal? ‘Eventually, the Super Bowl.’ Now that’s what I’m talking about.
