Dan Campbell's first big move as the interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins is firing his defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle.
After being granted the ability to make decisions by the Dolphins' front staff, Campbell let go Coyle today, who has served as the team's defensive coordinator since 2012. Following Sunday's loss to the Jets, the Dolphins defense ranks 30th in the NFL.
It is still up in the air who will take Coyle's spot, as former defensive coordinator and Lions head coach Jim Scwartz declined the offer to take the job earlier this week.
Stay tuned for more on this matter.
