Miami Dolphins Name Rizzi Asst. Head Coach

The Miami Dolphins have named special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi assistant head coach.

The Miami Dolphins continue to promote within their coaching staff. This time, they named special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi assitant head coach. Rizzi is in his seventh year as an NFL assistant and member of the Miami Dolphins' organization, and is in his fifth year as the special teams coach.

Rizzi has always been a coach with great passion and expertise within his field, and it is no surprise the team has promoted him to assistant head coach underneath the equally passionate Dan Campbell. Rizzi is in part responsible for the uprise of Jarvis Landry on special teams, whose 20.6 yard per punt return ranks him fourth in the AFC. Punter Matt Darr is also fifth in the NFL, averaging 48.8 yards per punt.
