This Halloween has proven to be scary for the Miami Dolphins. Losing their all-pro pass-rusher is enough to put absolute fear in any and all “Fins” fans.
After the Dolphins placed Wake on IR, they filled the empty spot by signing Ulrick John - an offensive lineman from the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.
To make Thursday’s loss against the New England Patriots even worse than losing Wake…The Miami Dolphins lost starting right tackle Ja’Wuan James to a right toe injury as well as rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker left the Patriots game with an injury. He had surgery to his left foot earlier in the year and both Parker and coach Campbell said the injury is not serious.
Let's hope that Cameron Wake’s fill-ins are more than capable to take his place and perform adequately for the rest of the season. Defensive coordinator, Lou Anarumo has to change his defensive strategies and play calling to accommodate the lose of his two defensive players and continue to do a good job of stopping the run like he did against the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Texans.
Miami has to get their injuries healed up this week and get mentally prepared for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The mind game is crucial for the Dolphins to continue a winning attitude on the field and in the locker room. Losing Cameron Wake in the locker room hurts as much as losing his talents on the field in this aspect. His leadership in the locker room will be missed and cannot be replaced.
