Miami Dolphins Can Not Give Up Against Bills

While injuries are a big part of the game, there is a pit in your stomach that lingers when your key player on your team gets injured and is out for the remainder of the season. This is not the time to quit or hang it up for the year. The Miami Dolphins must press forward.

Case in point is with the Miami Dolphins losing Cameron Wake (Achillies tendon) to IR as well as starting right tackle Ja'Wuan James (toe), it is time to “pull those socks up”, “tighten that chinstrap” and “time to step up to the plate”.  Is that enough clichés?  It is time for backup players to show that they are good enough to play first string and work their butts off to help their team get a win.  If they are good enough to make a NFL team in the first place, they are good enough to make a difference when put into a situation like this.

I am a loyal Miami Dolphins fan and hate making references to the New England Patriots.  But how many times over the past few years have we seen this team have numerous injuries to key players and manage to make playoffs and actually make a Super Bowl run and come out the champions of the league?

Defensive end Derrick Shelby is ready for the challenge of stepping up and taking the role that Cameron Wake has left open for him.  The signing of Ulrick John is a great addition to the team and both players will be able to compete and are both ready for action against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Going into this Sunday’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins know that they have to come out of this contest with nothing less than a win.  If the Dolphins want to have a shot at a playoff spot, whether it be getting in by a winning record or by being one of two teams for a wildcard spot they have to beat the 3-4 Bills.  This will put Miami at 4-4 and will drop the Bills to 3-5. This win will put the Dolphins in third position in the AFC East division and will give them a chance to climb closer to that second place standing, behind the 7-0 New England Patriots.  Having the New York Jets losing to the Oakland Raiders last Sunday was a helping hand in having Miami stay in the mix to reach this objective.

I really believe that coach Campbell and rest of his staff have the positive as well as a competitive attitude to push their players in the direction of staying hungry and will be ready for getting back on track and showing that they have the depth and talent to make a run at the playoffs.

FINS UP!!!
