Dolphins Jay Ajayi Returns To The Line-Up

After two weeks of practices, rookie running back Jay Ajayi is officially off injured reserve and can make his season debut against the Buffalo Bills.

Jay Ajayi hurt his ribs in the last preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was sidelined for the last eight weeks.

In the last two weeks of practices this month, Ajayi got himself in game shape with the intention of being ready to play on Sunday.

I have been highly anticipating the rookie running backs return, as I have been singing his praises from the fifth round in the draft, where the Miami Dolphins drafted him.  I have been a fan of his and was equally impressed of his preseason debut and thought he had a very good chance of being the prime third down back for this season, with eventually even making it a competition for a back up to star running back Lamar Miller.  I think he is that good.

I hope that he is worked into the offense and within the next few weeks makes a name for himself and we get to see the rookie explode onto the NFL scene.

Do I have high hopes for Jay Ajayi?  You bet I do.  If he can perform like he did in the preseason, the Dolphins should be prepared to have a running back competition.  That means a win win situation any team would love to have.
