Dolphins RB Lamar Miller Rightfully Complains

Dolphins RB Lamar Miller wasn't happy with his workload in the second half of Monday night's game against the Giants. Does he have a point?

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller was not exactly happy following Monday night's 31-24 loss to the NY Giants at home. After ripping off multiple impressive runs in the first half the Giants, including two scores from 14 yards and 38 yards. His longer run was incredibly impressive, as Miller seemingly couldn't be tackled.

In the first half, Miller had 69 yards and two TD's on his first seven carries.

He finished with 12 carries and 89 yards on the game. That's right, Miller saw just two more carries in the first half and then only three in the second half. The magic number for Miller and the Dolphins for the season is 13. Every time Miller rushes for 13 times in the same game this season, the Dolphins are 5-0.

When they don't.... They are 0-8.

And Miller has taken notice.

Via the Palm Beach Post, Miller stated the following after Monday night's game: "When I'm feeling it, I feel I should get more opportunities," he said. "But it just depends on the situation if we're losing or if we're up. I was feeling it pretty good Monday night."

I wonder if HC Dan Campbell and new OC Zac Taylor know about Miller's magical number of 13 carries a game. If they had given him the ball just one more time, who knows if Miller could have broken off another insane TD run, like he had done twice before in the very same game.

Miller is set to become a free agent after this season, barring a new contract from the Dolphins, which should be coming.

However, if I was Miller, I may consider moving on from the Dolphins and joining a new team where he might be better appreciated with a greater workload.
