Dolphins Lose Last Second to Colts 18-12

In what was a heart breaking loss for the Miami Dolphins against the Indianapolis Colts. It was a tight game right up to the dying seconds, where in the last play the offensive line cost them the game.

I can not believe the offensive line collapsed on the final play.  With the Miami Dolphins in scoring position and Ryan Tannehill not given a chance to complete a play which would have won the game for the Dolphins.  Instead of standing on their heads and doing whatever it takes to protect Tannehill they collapsed and their QB went down on his back with a sack to end the game.

This is how the entire game was played from the start of kick-off to the end whistle.  No emotion whatsoever.  When you look at the sidelines and the players on the field, all you saw were heads down hands on their hips and no enthusiasm for the game of football and wanting to win for the team.

The offense was stagnate yet again, and what I can not understand is when a team is on their third string quarterback and a struggling offensive line, you would think the Miami Dolphins top tear defense would not have a problem attacking them.  I was wrong in that assumption.  The Dolphins problems lay deeper than they would appear.

Ryan Tannehill for the game was 26 for 38 attempts with 329 total yards; he had no passing touchdowns and was intercepted once for the game.  Jarvis Landry was the workhorse as usual with seven receptions for 111 yards.  The highlight of the game was Landry’s one-handed catch, he also caught his 100 reception for the year.  Which Jarvis Landry is now the only player in franchise history to reach that mark.  Lamar Miller had the lone rushing touchdown for the game.

The Miami Dolphins are tired and have not been motivated to win games as a team for the last four weeks.  Sure they are motivated for the coach, if you ask the players, that is not the problem.  I think the problem is not having the talent on the field.  Miami just does not have that key ingredient in key positions as of yet.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a final season game with the New England Patriots who were upset by the New York Jets in overtime on Sunday.  This is not going to be an easy game and we will have to see if they sit players for the playoffs, I believe the Dolphins will have their hands full with whoever takes the field, fingers and toes crossed going into the last game of the year, that the Miami Dolphins can end the season with a WIN!!!

On a positive note: Congratulations to the 1972 Undefeated Miami Dolphins whose record still holds strong.  The lone undefeated team this year lost on Sunday, the Carolina Panthers lost to the Atlanta Falcons 20-13.  Always next year NFL teams!!!

FINS UP!!!
