Chiefs and Steelers Advance in Playoffs

In what was a battle of the defenses, Kansas City showed that a ten game win streak is nothing to shy away from, and put that streak on the line against the Houston Texans in one of the AFC wildcard games.

What an incredible run the Kansas City Chiefs are having by peeling off an 11 game win streak and beating the Houston Texans by a score of 30-0.  The KC defenses were unstoppable and picked off the Texan quarterback a total of four times.

Both offenses had a hard time getting any type of rhythm going against two of the top defenses in the league.  With the win Kansas City will now play the Denver Broncos for the division championship.

In the other AFC Wildcard game on Saturday night was the huge rivalry game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals.

This game was also a great battle between two very good defenses and also what was a battle of two very good offenses.  Big Ben Roethlisberger and A.J. McCarron put on an offensive show and took this game in to the late minutes of the fourth quarter where with a huge connection to A.J. Green put the Bengals up by one with the score at 16-15.  Ben Roethlisberger was hit in the third quarter and was injured on the play and was put out of game.  That was incredible news for the Cincinnati Bengals as the defense licked their chops at the non-presence of Roethlisberger.

With the late minutes ticking away for the Steelers.  In a surprising move the injured Roethlisberger came in the game and continue on an injured shoulder.  Not so smart penalties from the Bengals put the Steelers into field goal position and that was that folks, STEELERS win and move on to play the New England Patriots in the Divisionial Championship game.
