Dan Campbell was anything but happy after receiving the news that he would not be chosen as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins next sesaon. As we know, that job was designated to former Chicago Bears OC Adam Gase, who will become the youngest head coach in the NFL at 37 years old.
Campbell was the tight ends coach for the Dolphins dating all the way back to the Tony Sparano era, and the Dolphins were hoping to be in talks of keeping Campbell on as an assitant head coach in his former role as tight ends coach.
That, however, was not Dan Campbell's plan.
Per a report from the Palm Beach Post's Andrew Abramson, Dan Campbell will be moving on from the Dolphins. His potential as a head coach has drawn interest from around the NFL, including from the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints (who Campbell won a Super Bowl with as a player).
New HC Adam Gase has yet to appoint anyone to his staff, but for now it looks like Campbell will not be one of those members. The only for sure thing as of now is that Darren Rizzi will remain Miami's ST coordinator and assistant head coach to Gase.
Dolphins Report wishes the best of luck to Dan Campbell wherever he may end up!
