Former Dolphins' HC Philbin Heads to Giants

Former Miami Dolphins HC Joe Philbin has found his new job.

Miami Dolphins former HC Joe Philbin will be the next offensive coordinator of the NY Giants, according to a report by Pro Football Talk.

The Giants just hired their own OC Ben McAdoo, who the Dolphins coveted before hiring Bill Lazor as their offensive coordinator after firing Mike Sherman a few seasons ago.

Philbin and McAdoo both worked under Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy from 2006-2011, where Philbin won a Super Bowl as the offensive coordinator of the team.

However, it was Philbin's lack of creativity and his inability to make halftime adjustments that led to his downfall in Miami. One of Philbin's biggest issues was his inability to close games out, something that the New York Giants also struggled with under Tom Coughlin this past season.

We will see if Philbin's best role in the league is as an offensive coordinator, but good luck to Joe Philbin in New York.
