What a day yesterday was for the Miami Dolphins. They essentially traded Brent Grimes for Byron Maxwell, and in addition they got Kiko Alonso. The cost? An undisclosed draft pick, that surely won't be higher than a third round selection.
Well done Miami. Well done.
However, their offseason moves are far from over, as the Dolphinsnow need to focus on solidifying their pass rushers. It looks as though Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon will be moving on from Miami. What should they do to replace these two guys?
Personally, I think guys like Terrence Fede or Derrick Shelby should be given a chance to step up and show what they've got, as they have been proven players in the past in limited playing time. The Dolphins could pair one of these guys with a more premiere pass rusher via the draft.
Otherwise, the Dolphins will have to pursue someone in FA. The hot name right now is Mario Williams, who was recently released by the Bills.
He wants $10 million a year, something the Dolphins shouldn't pay for the aging veteran.
The Miami Dolphins need to explore other options or build through the draft.
But so far, they are moving in the right direction.
