DE Chris Clemons to Meet With Dolphins

On Monday free agent defensive end Chris Clemons had a meeting with the Miami Dolphins.

If Miami would sign Clemons, the options would open up with Cameron Wake specializing in being a true pass rusher. Signing Clemons would also mean a shift on the defensive line. Clemons lined up next to Ndamukong Suh, Wake on the outside, newly acquired DE Mario Williams on the other side. Wow, that’s a scary situation for any quarterback.

This is Chris Clemons twelfth season in the league. He became a free agent this year from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Clemons has 69 sacks, 20 forced fumbles with seven recoveries for two touchdowns and 276 tackles.

Clemons is a veteran that would add backup power to Cameron Wake and Mario Williams.

Looks like talks did not pan out to anything getting signed for Clemons, it sure would have been nice to have a veteran like Clemons on the roster for the upcoming season.
