Miami Dolphins Keep QB Matt Moore

The Miami Dolphins are sticking with long time backup QB Matt Moore.

The Miami Dolphins are keeping their faith in Matt Moore as their backup quarterback. The team inked Moore to a two-year contract extension worth $3.5 million dollars today.

Moore has been with the team since 2011, where he started the second part of the season before the team drafted Ryan Tannehill in 2012, which permanently shifted Moore to the backup role. This will be Moore's first season under Adam Gase, and will have to learn a new system.

As of now, Moore is in a leadership role and a safety net in case Ryan Tannehill gets injured. Despite being the most sacked QB in the past 3 seasons, Tannehill has yet to be seriously injured with the team.
