In a weird turn of events, the Carolina Panthers have rescinded cornerback Josh Norman's franchise tag on Wednesday, which makes him an unrestricted free agent.
I don't know about you, but if I were the Miami Dolphins' brass I would offer him what ever he would cost (without giving up too much) and solve a huge hole on the Dolphins defense.
Norman will be looking for close to a 40 million dollar contract, but after coming off an all-pro season, I say pay the man. We need this type of player like a cavity needs to be filled. He would bring excitement and a winning personality on the field and in the locker room.
With the chance of Miami getting Norman, it would free up the 13th pick Miami has in the draft to look at a wide receiver to compliment Jarvis Landry or a running back to compliment Jay Ajayi.
This move made by the Carolina Panthers has possibly made every team in the NFL take a hard long look at their draft choices, and at their current player compliment. I hope the Miami Dolphins make a power move and sign Josh Norman tomorrow.
