Defensive tackle Tim Bowens was scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Friday and is expected to miss next Sunday's home game against the Oakland Raiders.<P>

Bowens had planned on having the surgery done during the team's bye week in October, but decided to have it done sooner with this weekend's games being cancelled.

The procedure, which will clean out loose bodies in the knee, is the same one Bowens underwent on his right knee during the preseason.
