Dolphins Rookie of the Year: Laremy Tunsil

On April 28th the Miami Dolphins took a big leap in selecting Laremy Tunsil as the offensive linemen. But, it was the best decision they could have made.

Laremy Tunsil may have had made some mistakes in the past with his smoking scandal, and yet if he keeps himself in check for the remainder of his career this young man could become one of the best rookies that the Miami Dolphins has seen.

First thought I should explain why he is going to have such a big impact for the team. As a Mississippi OT he was honoured as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week during the fall of 2013, for Christmas of that same year he was named a Freshman All-American by The Sporting News, he was one of the best left tackles of the Southeastern Conference during the summer of 2014 after allowing a single sack in 12 games and he was not even in his 20’s at the time, and finally during the Christmas of that year Tunsil was the first team All-SEC by Associated Press.

Not only this but his name also appeared at the top of NFL mock drafts for 2016 as a top pick for the Tennessee Titans and so the Dolphins should thank anyone that is listening that we have him on our team. They also hope to put him and the other rookies, such as Kenyan Drake and Leonte Carroo in the ranks through the OTA workouts, which will begin in the next week and he along with the other rookies have been ranked as among the NFL’s best draft class.

Tunsil has a had rough couple of months and although the Titans dropped him the Dolphins did not play the fool and picked him back up and offered him a position he deserved. If Tunsil does not change the team in anyway, it will be a shock to me, the young man has too much athleticism, intelligence, and strength to not do something great.

FINS UP!!!
