How Long Will Dolphins' Jones Hold Out?

It is being reported today that safety Reshad Jones of the Miami Dolphins could possibly hold out for the entire 2016-2017 season if his contract needs are not met.

Since Organized Team Activities (OTA’s) started last week. Reshad Jones has skipped all voluntary activities and practices in hoping to secure a lucrative deal with the Miami Dolphins that would put him amongst the highest paid safeties in the league.

Jones is coming off an outstanding year where he recorded 135 tackles, five interceptions, and forced two fumbles, and to cap it all off he was named to the Pro Bowl last season.

Reshad Jones is under contract with Miami through the 2018 season and will be owed $7.2 million in base salary for the upcoming season.

I see Jones’ holding out will put immense pressure on the Dolphins to pay him what he desires due to his extreme talent and the numbers that he accumulated last season, Jones will become the top grossing safety in the league who Miami cannot afford to let go of.

FINS UP!!!
