Miami Dolphins Throwback Thursday: Jarvis Landry's One-Handed Catch

Dolphins Report reveals a new weekly segment: Throwback Thursday. Eric Roddy leads off with a tribute to WR Jarvis Landry's ridiculous one-handed catch last season.

Welcome to Throwback Thursday, a new segment for Dolphins Report that will feature a quick flashback into time to remember a great (or maybe not so great) Miami Dolphins moment.

This week, to kick things off, we aren't going back more than a year. In what was otherwise a forgettable game for the 'Phins in an 18-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, WR Jarvis Landry did the unthinkable and reached back to grab a ball, contorting his body to where he was almost completely horizontal. An otherwise quiet crowd groaned with disbelief at the sight of such a catch.

The play was shown for the rest of the season, and has since been compared to New York Giant star Odell Beckham Jr., who had a similar acrobatic catch that won him an ESPY a year ago.

Landry finished the game with 7 receptions for 111 yards. The play remains the only memorable moment of a game in which the Dolphins got absolutely destroyed on the ground by RB Frank Gore

Jarvis, we salute you, and we remember.
