Miami Dolphins Reshad Jones Still Holding Out

Safety Reshad Jones of the Miami Dolphins is holding out for a new and more lucrative contract. Will he hold out until season's end?

After skipping out of the Miami Dolphins' OTA’s these past couple of weeks, it seems that trend will continue into Miami’s week of mandatory three-day mini camp.

If Reshad Jones decides to continue his holdout through minicamp, he will be fine $76,000 for this infraction. Reshad Jones is holding out and is trying to become one of the highest paid safeties in the league today.  He is under contract with the Miami Dolphins for four years with a contract of $28 million, which he signed in 2014.

Jones, had a spectacular 2015 campaign and put up impressive numbers that Miami cannot refuse to pay him what he wants…he IS that good of a player. Last year, Jones made his first of what will be many trips to the Pro Bowl. In his past six years in the league, he has accumulated 135 tackles, five interceptions and two sacks.

If Reshad Jones does not get a lucrative contract that he is looking for, Jones has stated he will not suit up for the 2016/17 season for the Miami Dolphins.

We, at the DolphinsReport will continue to watch this story and keep you informed of all that develops. Cross your fins and hope this contract dispute gets worked out soon.
